Selection of surrogates
In the Republic of Belarus, medical care to overcome infertility is fully regulated at the level of legislation (including surrogacy). The legality of the use of ART in the country is not questioned.
We take care of the health and well-being of future babies and strictly ensure that all participants of the program are fully prepared: physically, intellectually and emotionally. This means that we not only fully inform surrogates about the rules, responsibilities, and possible risks, but also conduct thorough checks: psychological testing, medical screening, and other areas.
Within the framework of the surrogacy program in the Republic of Belarus, a long and trusting partnership is necessary, and we can always convincingly explain the goals of such checks and examinations.
It is important to remember that in the Republic of Belarus, a surrogate mother does not have rights to an unborn child at the legislative level.

Observations
Medical and psychological examinations are carried out in accordance with legislative acts regulating the procedure for the provision of services included in the surrogacy program. The future surrogate mother must undergo a full health check. After all types of tests, the list of which can be found at this link, the surrogate receives an appropriate doctor's opinion. It includes a separate paragraph stating that there are no contraindications to carrying a baby. A psychiatrist also gives his opinion.
Indications for the surrogacy procedure

- the condition of the uterus and other reproductive organs does not leave a woman the opportunity to carry a child on her own. Including cases when the uterus is completely absent;
- there are endometrial pathologies if their treatment does not lead to positive changes, and a high risk of miscarriage is diagnosed;
- systemic diseases and injuries that prevent the normal course of pregnancy. Such as, for example, heart failure, kidney hypoplasia, severe diabetes, and others;
- fractures of the spine, injuries that caused serious damage to the pelvis;
- repeated unsuccessful IVF attempts.
The surrogacy program in Belarus is almost the only chance for many married couples to meet their own child and solve the problem of infertility.
